Pot plant 24 3 years 70 cm (with pot) variety with thin, thornless leaves.
Dasylirion Longissimum is a perennial outdoor plant native to Central America and belonging to the Asparagaceae family. An evergreen plant with a caespitose habit that becomes palm-like in adulthood and can reach 4 metres in height and 2 metres in width; it is characterised by a woody stem, which develops in adulthood, at the top of which long, filiform, blue-green drooping leaves form a beautiful round crown. Flowering occurs in summer when a long stem rises from the centre of the leaves on which small white flowers bloom. Dasylirion is slow-growing and has a good resistance to cold, even down to -10 degrees Celsius, so that it is appreciated both as an ornamental plant in containers and for growing in the ground in gardens and flower beds. For luxuriant growth it prefers to be placed in sunny locations, but tolerates exposure in areas with partial shade; it adapts to any type of soil as long as it is of good quality, well drained and always moist, therefore watering must be frequent in the warmer periods and then gradually reduced in winter, paying attention to water stagnation.
