Viene chiamato anche Pomelo, Pummelo, Pampaleone, sciadocco, da non confondere con il Pompelmo che è un suo ibrido. È il più grande degli agrumi. Cresce fino ai 30 cm di diametro e può pesare fino ai 10 kg.
