Ama il caldo, sopporta la siccità e teme le zone umide. . Nelle regioni fredde, piantarlo in esposizione soleggiata e riparata. Cresce su tutti i terreni, anche calcarei. Aspettare dai 2 ai 4 anni per una buona raccolta.
POTATURA: Fiorisce soprattutto sul legno di un anno. Va potato poco, per non favorire la gommosi nel periodo dicembre-febbraio. Eliminare totalmente i succhioni sviluppati sulla parte alta della chioma e i rami più grandi posti all’interno per favorire il soleggiamento dei frutti. Si consiglia di effettuare anche una leggera potatura estiva a giugno eliminando esclusivamente i succhioni più vigorosi cresciuti nella parte alta ed interna dell’albero.
IMPOLLINAZIONE: È autofertile nella maggior parte dei casi. Per le varietà più recenti si consiglia l’associazione con altre che fioriscono nella stessa epoca.

Mulberry Tree ( Morus Alba) Flowering, in April-May, is given by flowers unisexual in the white (monoecious species) and both unisexual and hermaphroditic in the black, however insignificant, so that the event goes unnoticed. The fruits ripen from May to July on the white mulberry and visually resemble blackberries, and are white-yellow in colour with a distinctly sweetish flavour with a hint of sourness; very rich in natural sugars, it can be used as a natural sweetener instead of refined sugar.
NB the resistance of the 3 colours is the same, but the fastest growing is white, about twice as fast as the other 2, black is slightly faster than red
Advice:
The Mulberry Tree adapts to any environment, and to any type of soil, clayey, stony, poor or sloping, with the interesting side-effect of curbing soil erosion and blocking landslide movements. It prefers a position sunny or in half-shade, but lives equally well in the shade (will produce less fruit). does not need much watering.

Plant description: height 140-170 cm 2.5 years old, pot 24, the dimensions are the same for all 4 varieties, obviously buying them in winter they are leafless (which is the best time to plant fruit trees) VARIETY: KAKO CHOCOLATE Oval shaped fruit, slightly pointed towards the apex, medium size and yellow-orange in colour, tending to bronze when ripe, between October and November.
