Bougainvillea 'Scarlett O'Hara' is a climbing shrub native to the tropical and subtropical zones of South America, which is very re-blooming and fast growing. It is an evergreen climber, able to reach several metres in length, with alternate elliptical-elongated, dark green leaves. It develops small white flowers that bloom from summer to autumn, gathered in clusters and surrounded by ornamental magenta-red bracts. Fast-growing as ground cover. It prefers a warm, temperate climate, with full sun and half shade; in winter it is recommended to shelter it with TNT. In areas where there is a chance of frost and too low temperatures below 0°C, grow it in a temperate greenhouse.
