Come il Castagno comune, non è autofertile, per la produzione di frutti ci devono essere due piante (anche se castagno comune o Marrone, ovviamente il frutto sarebbe ibrido in questi casi) Varietà molto gettonata, perchè resiste a fitopatie comuni del Castagno, ed ha una produzione vigorosa di frutti, unica pecca, la prima annata, soprattutto se a temperature estive alte, richiede irrigazioni frequenti

The Pomegranate tree (Punica granatum) belongs to the Punicaceae family. It is a 4-5 m high, bushy, deciduous shrub.
The trunk of the pomegranate plant is very gnarled and branched with thorny branches. The bright green leaves are small, opposite and entire.
