La pianta di Dieffenbachia “Tropic Snow” è una pianta d’appartamento che appartiene alla famiglia delle Araceae, nativa delle zone tropicali del Brasile. Le grandi foglie sono molto decorative, di forma ovata e di colore verde medio, con segni verde salvia e pennellate bianco crema. Quando le foglie inferiori cadono, sui fusti restano le cicatrici. Le infiorescenze con spate bianche, si schiudono ad intermittenza durante tutto l’anno. La Dieffenbachia gradisce un terriccio sempre umido, evitando i ristagni d’acqua nel sottovaso che farebbero marcire le radici. Le annaffiature devono essere abbondanti in estate e scarse d’inverno. Predilige un’esposizione luminosa, schermata nei mesi/ore di forte insolazione.
