-It is a plant that never ceases to amaze for its robustness, speed of growth and spring flowering. But it is the berries that are the real distinguishing feature, present in large quantities in spring and autumn, and in smaller numbers in the other seasons. Evergreen shrub, up to 2 m high and up to 1.2 m wide, with medium growth; thorny branches; small, ovoid leaves; small flowers in corymbal inflorescences, fragrant, creamy white, in April-May; yellow, orange or red fruits (berries) from September to February.
