The Ficus benjamina plant is a houseplant with erect stems and slender branches and elegant dark green foliage. Much appreciated for its ease of cultivation, it thrives well in very bright rooms, shielded in the months/hours of strong sunlight. It loves heat and does not suffer when temperatures reach 30 °C. In summer, it can be transferred outdoors to a shady place away from draughts. Water about twice a week during the hot season, avoiding water stagnation and keep the humidity high by frequently steaming its leaves. Ideal temperature: 10-30 °C. PLANT HEIGHT: 170 cm with pot
POT DIAMETER: 28 cm NB in winter it is normal for it to have a period when it loses 10-20% of leaves, especially if it has to acclimatise to a new location, don't worry! In spring it will make lots of new leaves and fill up again, it is advisable to feed it with slow-release fertiliser every 3 months, or liquid fertiliser for green plants once a month, water only when the soil is dry in winter, when it loses some leaves.
