E’ un ibrido naturale tra il limone e l’arancio dolce. Deve il suo nome dall’esploratore americano Meyer che lo scoprì. E’ un agrume molto decorativo, con foglie di colore verde intenso e fiori di colore violaceo, disposti prevalentemente a grappolo.
Tra i limoni è il più resistente alle basse temperature ed è produttivo per tutto l’anno.
