La Mela Stark Delicious matura nel mese di Settembre: il frutto ha forma sferica di medie dimensioni con buccia di colore rosso, mentre la polpa è bianca, croccante e molto dolce; da consumare sia fresca che per la preparazione di dolci o succhi. E’ un arbusto molto rustico che non teme le basse temperature ma bisogna ripararlo dalle gelate primaverili che potrebbero compromettere la fioritura; predilige il posizionamento in luoghi soleggiati, ma si adatta anche a posizioni di ombra parziale. Si consiglia terreno ricco di sostanze organiche e ben drenato con irrigazioni frequenti soprattutto in estate, prestando attenzione ai ristagni idrici.
