Descrizione Pianta di 2 anni, vaso 14, foto reali in vivaio La Nepenthes “Bloody Mary” è una pianta carnivora che appartiene alla famiglia delle Nepentaceae, originaria delle foreste equatoriali del Madagascar, Malesia e Australia. Possiede foglie che alla loro estremità hanno una sorta di sacca che pende, diventando una trappola per insetti. Le vittime, attirate da una sostanza zuccherina contenuta nelle sacche e dai colori della pianta, scivolano all’interno di esse dove si trovano delle ghiandole che producono speciali enzimi per la digestione della preda. Queste piante in natura possono raggiungere notevoli dimensioni e possiedono radici aeree che permettono loro di crescere fissate agli alberi. La pianta deve essere collocata in posizione abbastanza luminosa non a diretto contatto con i raggi del sole. Occorre somministrare soltanto acqua distillata o piovana in abbondanza, lasciandone sempre due cm nel sottovaso, evitando l’acqua del rubinetto che risulterebbe velenosa.
