La pianta di Pero “Conference” è un albero di vigoria media, dai frutti di medie dimensione, con buccia giallo-verdastro ed ampie lenticelle rugginose, polpa bianca-gialla dal sapore dolce ed aromatico. La raccolta viene effettuata a metà Settembre. I frutti sono consumati al naturale, per preparare frullati e centrifugati insieme ad altra frutta, come ingrediente per marmellate, torte e strüdel. Le pere sono utilizzate in molte ricette per primi piatti rustici, si abbinano al cioccolato ed alle noci, ottime con formaggi come gorgonzola, pecorino, taleggio, caciotta e briè, con un gusto non troppo deciso.
